Football, actually its not a game of 22 players on the pitch... that is because referees play a huge part in the game, during my short stint with FSW, i learnt plenty valuable lessons about the beautiful game, one of it was regarding referees. In the game, u must always think that your team playing against not 11 players from the opposing team, but 12, including the referee, after all the ref is not playing for any team, he is a opponent for both teams. Sometimes the referee may give wrong decisions, but referees are human too, u see even on professional level, referees make mistakes too. Luck plays some part is football, so when the ref give a wrong decision against us, bad luck, but if against the opponent team, good luck. Another point is that u see that at professional level, refs make mistakes even with the aid of linesman, so how could we expect the referees of our local amateur football not make mistakes, when the have to control a game all by themselves. If they are so good, they wun be refereeing amateur football already. Finally, respect is the word, it is common courtesy to treat all humans with respect, the referees would not wan to make a wrong decision as well, but he can only give the best decision from his point of view. you can also see on the international stage, "respect" campaigns are being organized, because even professionals understand the need for common courtesy, but unfortunately some professional players have problems with it. After all is said, please know that this post is not directed to anyone, it is juz wad i felt after thru out the many games i played, and after watching many football matches. After today's benedetto game, suddenly got an urge to type it out. But if hopefully this post may help anyone who reads it to bring the beautiful and joyful feeling back to the game. So now about today's benedetto game, lost 2-0 to wad i felt a better team, our players juz could not match the physical and technical play of the opponents, but we still gave them a spirited display trying to hold em off, but unfortunately a little error and they took advantage.
